DREAMWEAVER Configuration

click on Site -> New Site This will bring up another screen:

Click on "define Sites" and this menu will pop up.

LOCAL INFO (local always means your own hard drive)

Name the site whatever you want, this is just a friendly name Local Root Folder:

Click on the folder and point to the folder where you have your .htm files stored

X - Refresh local list automatically leave the other two boxes alone, the default is fine.

WEB SERVER INFO
Server access: arrow down to FTP

FTP Host ftp.oregoncoast.com

Host Directory:

leave this blank!!!

Login: <your login>
Password <your password>

CREATE CACHE: yes

(Dreamweaver always opens an extra page, comes in really handy when you are processing a lot of pages)

When you connect to our server, you must make sure you have a folder on your hard drive for your html files, and a sub folder named "images" as your images should be kept separate in a sub folder..

Do not enter the Host Directory - our management software will take care of the host directory for you automatically

Your home page name:

index.htm (very important)
